We have a smooth supply chain in place. We trust our international suppliers to play their role – and they do. We make use of the best of the best, from China to New Zealand, Canada and USA.

You are obviously welcome to use your own suppliers but we have been asked a thousand time to provide the names of our suppliers, so here they are:

Freight Forwarding:

A vital role in shipping products from China to Amazon. A freight forwarder needs to be cheap, but more importantly, needs skills and experience to manage complex shipments with the minimum of headaches and delays. We find working with a Chinese freight forwarder works best for us.

We use Mandy at Shenzhen Top-Win International Logistics. Their website is in Chinese, but Mandy’s English is excellent. You can reach her at zhangwenbin@uni-top.com

Prep Centre and 3Pl:

We make use of a local US-based prep center, that can assemble, pack and label products. They also provide storage at cheaper than Amazon rates. Think Q4, when Amazon charges 5x normal rates for storage at the fulfilment centers. We find using a prep center in California, close to the port works well for us. We use John at   www.ez-prep.com

Ebay liquidations:

Sometimes products don’t sell, right? Or customers return damaged goods that could be sold cheaper as “used”. It is a great idea to use EBay as a way of liquidating old, slow moving, or slightly damaged stock. You need a team that is 100% focused full-time on selling on Ebay, and will create the listings, answer queries etc.

We use Rob and Deb at www.synergysolutionsnw.com

Amazon training:

Sometimes even the experts need training. We have made use of free and paid Amazon training courses. An all-in-one training course that covers every part of the Amazon journey is valuable – especially for a beginner.

We use Kevin David’s FBA Ninja Course www.officialkevindavid.com

Product Photography:

On Amazon, quality photographs are the most important feature of the listing. You need a photographer that is experienced in product photography, and is aware of Amazon’s photography rules and regulations.

We love the work we get out of John and Melody at www.wayfarer.co.nz. They live in New Zealand – lucky fishes.

Graphic Design:

Sometimes, a photo is just… not enough. You need to add some color or texture, perhaps inserting the product photo into a stock photograph. We make use of a Canadian designer. His images have made a marked difference to sales from our listings.

We use Russel at www.digitalmuvmnt.com

Copyright and Trademark Law

Amazon is a jungle. Literally. You need muscle in your corner to keep the hijackers off your listing. Amazon is also requiring official trademarkings to give you brand registry, and so applying for trademarks and copyrights is now part of the whole process.

We make use of Brian, based in Washington DC at bfrankel@copyrightcounselors.com
